Adding cheer to the aspirations of Asian food lovers in the capital city, Kampai-the authentic Japanese restaurant opened its second outlet at DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj on 13 March 2023. Etymologically, Kampai means cheer in Japanese. This second outpost of Kampai at DLF mall follows the fame and success of the debut outlet at Aerocity, near New Delhi International airport.

Japanese Ambassador to India His Excellency Hiroshi Suzuki formally inaugurated the Kampai, DLF Promenade branch in an impressive ceremony before a packed audience. The ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Ambassador was followed by a signing ceremony.

Speaking at the event Mr. Hiroshi Suzuki said: “Kampai is the most authentic Japanese restaurant serving delicious Japanese cuisine, so I hope that you will be able to enjoy good, authentic, and delectable Japanese food and hope you will come back, not just by yourself but also with your friends, parents, and family to have good Japanese food here.”

Avantika Sinha Bahl, the dynamic young entrepreneur and founder of Kampai said: “This day is extraordinary for the brand as it is a part of the journey to open 50 more outlets in the next few years. We look forward to a long association with the embassy and thank you so much for being here, Kampai.”

Kampai Mulls Huge Expansion

Avantika Sinha Bahl added that the premium Japanese cuisine restaurant aims to offer a holistic experience that would transport the mind, body, and soul of the patrons to an amazing experience that converges the culinary, architectural, and cultural facets of Japan.

At the function, guests were treated to an array of tempting Japanese bites epitomizing Japanese hospitality by the beautifully dressed staff in the traditional Japanese gown of Kimonos. The event was also graced by delegates from Japan and other embassies. Guests also enjoyed a delectable dinner presenting the finest of Japanese cuisine.

At the drinks front, the offerings included a wide range of Japanese sakes, champagnes, whiskey, and cocktails, especially “Wabi Sabi” paired perfectly with appetizing specialties. The splendid evening was loaded with gracious bonhomie and friendly vibes in conversations enhancing the celebratory mood.

Some of the signature items in the Kampai cocktail menu are curated Japanese cocktails like Wasabi Martini, Samurai consisting of Gin, Jasmine, and Lemon along with Kampai classics like Kampai Bellini, Blushing Geisha, and Shinjuku Star.
