What is Medusa Source all about and how it helps businesses by making them sourcing partners?
Medusa Source is a supply chain management company. We offer end to end product sourcing solutions to support Brands, Retailers, Labels, and Wholesalers worldwide.

We represent brands mostly from Western countries thanks to our extensive sourcing experience and unmatched capability.

Please mention some of the Western brands for which your company is doing sourcing from India and other markets?

Some of the international clients include Macy’s, Next, Etro, Twinset, etc that are present in multiple geographies such as the USA and Europe.

For clients in the fashion industry, we offer innovative products in apparel and accessories that are mostly for international retailers and brands.

You are also known to host a B2C fashion event. How that helps you in the business?

The fashion event -- Medusa by Sonal Jindal is a B2C fashion and lifestyle exhibition. It has brought more producers into our platform.

Many small and medium-sized companies and designers have acknowledged how the exposure gained from the event has been a catalyst in their business transformation in terms of more business and ideas.

What makes your global clients rely on you so much for their sourcing requirements?
We have solid experience in sourcing from Asian markets that offer a combo of price advantage, quality, and sustainability.

Can you explain the key functions of your sourcing operations?
It is an end to end operation. Medusa Source will identify, evaluate, visit production centers, factories, discuss, extend assistance and guidance in terms of design and development, production follow-ups, insist stringent quality control, oversee logistics including shipping consolidations.

What are the main items in the merchandise of your sourcing orders?
We source all fashion materials including Ready To Wear (RTW) apparel, fashion accessories, cosmetics, home decor, and other in-demand items.

How big is your network?
We have a vast vendor network spread throughout India, Nepal and Sri Lanka. At the moment w have more than 150 suppliers and manufacturers in our matrix.

What is Medusa Source’s guiding philosophy in choosing your suppliers?
We are guided by transparency and traceability. Medusa Source supports sustainability at all levels right from the stage of manufacturing of products to the last-mile delivery to the customers.

We visit and participate in most fashion trade shows across the world especially in fashion capitals such as New York, London, Paris, and Milan.

What is the volume of your sourcing from India in a year?
We handle over 1000 stock keeping units (SKUs), multiple product categories and over 100 containers annually.

What is the volume of your company’s sourcing business from India?
We at Medusa Source do a business of US$12 million approximately per annum.

Finally, what is your message to the stakeholders?
Indian suppliers will be in demand and there is a chance more producers will have the international opportunity as sourcing from India will increase compared to other competitors.
