Passing the tree-lined avenues of Vasant Vihar in New Delhi towards the Priya Cinema can stir you the usual excitement about the latest movies. But now taste buds also tickle for an exciting Kiko-Ba dining experience.

Kiko-Ba as a great spot of Japanese-inspired food attracts diners with chic interiors, a delectable cocktail menu and great food nearby enabling good time and nice conversations. Shiso butter-laced preparations are the soul behind many fast-moving dishes at Kiko Ba.

Located in South Delhi’s 62, Basant Lok adjacent to Priya Cinema in Vasant Vihar Kiko-Ba dutifully answers to the cravings for pan-Asian cuisine in the national capital.

Multifaceted dining experience

Kiko Ba is more than a single window for important East Asian cuisines as it stands out with a unique personality. The culinary experience of Kiko Ba is multifaceted and justifies the name derived from the mythical shapeshifting Tanukis who bestow good fortune to people and spaces.

Kiko Ba offers something for everyone’s dietary aspirations such as Vegan, Gluten-Free, Pescatarian, Vegetarian and plant-based food. And never forget the amazing cock tails too. If you love cocktails do not miss the exotic Scotch-based Ba-Me cocktail.

Cool interiors

The big black door opens to the nice interiors of Kiko Ba justifying the Scandinavian touch with the easy light gracing the wooden seats and cool corners mostly occupied by couples.

The soothing feel oozed by the wooden textures and darkly warm shades is a far cry from the overly gaudy and intimidating stuff elsewhere.

However, Kiko-Ba does not limit itself to visual experience as the nice culinary story of varied delights to the palette will be ready to unfold.

Key Delights

My 8 pm past nocturnal tete-a-tete with Kiko Ba eatery had been rejoicing and I am sharing some of the impressions here.

Although a frugal eater, I exceeded the restraint levels, as the variety was a tempter to go after a marathon of starters, including vegetarian specials and semi-fried fish of spicy flavours until I planned the main course as chicken fried rice and a specially made ginger mocktail.

The Spinach Goma is hard to resist as the salad with its customised sesame dressing. So is the Edamame Hummus with root vegetable chips and ketchup seasoning as a good pair to go with drinks.

Open all 7 days of the week and operating from 12.00 pm- 12.30 am from Sunday - Thursday with Friday - Saturday with more time @ 12. 00 pm – 01.00 am Kiko Ba welcomes diners of all styles.

The farm-to-fork concept adds freshness to the delicious food quality. The Japanese barbeque invigorates fireside cooking. Who can ignore the memorable Corn on the Cob, grilled sweet potato, and Shiitake Mushrooms grilled to perfection to render a lingering taste?

Mark these signature dishes

As for some signature dishes, the Indian seabass is delicate and well marinated and cooked with soy, ginger and scallion and drizzled with charred lemon.

The spinach Gomai salad was superb. So are dumplings like crystal vegetables, truffled edamame and prawn curry dim sum. Edamame continues to be a crowd puller and the butter garlic prawns ravish with the super taste.

The heirloom recipes at Kiko-Ba are signages to indulge in nostalgic flavours with a revived taste. The vast wine list and wonderful dessert combos only expand the cravings.

Enjoy the new lunch menu

Amidst the gleaming lights outside and a clear sky, that set a nice ambience I was updated that the high-demand launch named All-You-Can-Eat' Dim-Sum lunch is open from 1200 pm - 300 pm every day.

The lunch menu consists of an assortment of unlimited Dim-sums, Baos, Littles, Noodles, and signature Desserts plus Drinks. Nearly 10 varieties of dim-sums are open for selection in vegetarian and non-vegetarian categories.
