Pune-based Arya Omnitalk Wireless Solutions Pvt Ltd, will distribute professional and commercial radios from Motorola Solutions in India.

This follows an exclusive partnership pact signed by the two companies and was formally announced in New Delhi on April 15 at an event in the Lalit Hotel, Connaught Place, New Delhi.

Arya Omni Talk is a joint venture between textile major Arvind Ltd. and shipping giant JM Baxi Group. Under this collaboration, Arya Omnitalk will have exclusive rights to distribute Motorola Solutions' Mototrbo portfolio of radio products, alongside the existing Wave PTX and associated services.

These commercial and professional radio or walkie-talkys are specially designed for organizations operating in the fast-moving business environments of the present day.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Paresh Shetty, CEO, Arya Omnitalk, said, “We are thrilled to announce our continued partnership with Motorola Solutions, further solidifying the trust we've built with the brand and customers over the years.”

Mr. Martin Chappell, MSSI, Vice President and Director of Sales, APAC Channel, Motorola Solutions, also spoke at length about the key attractions of the partnership in terms of service and support to the customers and shared some insights about the exclusive partnership.

Shetty said the exclusive partnership would give his company the opportunity to sell top-class products in India. He added that the commitment to deliver unmatched customer experiences is supreme and all interactions mirror “our dedication to excellence and customer satisfaction.”

Arya Omnitalk primarily operates three business divisions: Shared Mobile Radio Services (SMR), GPS-based Fleet Tracking and Management Solutions, and Toll and Highway Traffic Management Systems (HTMS).

According to Shetty, radio services will be very useful to essential sectors and services such as municipal corporations, manufacturing, security, oil and gas, transport and logistics, warehousing, educational institutes, IT/ITeS, hospitality, healthcare, embassies, mines, and construction.

The strategic merit of the radios or walkie-talks is that they allow real-time, instant communication among teams. No doubt, they are indispensable tools that enhance coordination in fast-paced environments and increase cross-platform compatibility.

It works across various devices and platforms, ensuring seamless communication between different teams and devices within the company.

Partnership spells higher R&D and service

The pact will ensure a seamless supply of safety products and services to Indian businesses. Motorola will also look at the prospect of manufacturing in India, indicated Martin Chappel.

More investments are in the pipeline for scaling up the R&D and training center in Bangalore.

Innovative features in Motorola products

The senior professionals also pointed out the innovative features and enhancements in Motorola's walkie-talkie products. Many new features have improved the portfolio and customer experience. There are software-driven innovations in the portfolio, including new applications and services.

Examples include the POC (Push to Voice, Data, and Video) feature, adding new value to the traditional walkie-talkie functionality and strategic capabilities. On the training front, extensive training will be imparted to the sales and technical teams on the new Motorola LMR and PTT products.

Future plans

Shetty also claimed that the robustness of technology, local manufacturing, and product quality with consistent innovation will outpace any competitive threat from low-cost Chinese radios. According to Shetty, the new distribution pact will also unveil the opportunity to showcase the latest Motorola portfolio, such as broadband PTT and body-worn cameras, to Indian customers.

In the road map for the future, Arya Omnitalk will work to expand the product distribution beyond the current 18-city coverage. Plans are underway to extend distribution to other adjoining geographies in South Asia based on Motorola's direction.

Plan to expand market presence

Arya Omnitalk, established in 2002, has a presence in all metro and mini metros, with a subscriber base for radios exceeding 63,000. According to market research, Arya Omnitalk is a leader and provider in the market domain, comprising PMRTS (public mobile radio trunking services), CMRTS (captive mobile radio trunking services), and broadband push-to-talk devices.

Currently, Arya Omnitalk holds licenses to operate in 18 Indian cities, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Indore, Kolkata, Bharuch, Navi Mumbai, Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai, Pune, Surat, Vadodara, Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Kochi, and Jaipur.

In highway toll management, Arya Omnitalk has implemented over 1200 toll lanes across 125+ toll plazas and established a digital wide-area radio communication network spanning 1500 km of highway stretches.
